Re: Anyone want some S-Rank goodness? ;)
You can do cmode all the way through with 2. 4 helps a ton, though.
And yeah, that one forest run we had 4 people.

That reminds me, Saffo and I never finished our last 2-player run.
We've done several, though.

I'd be up for a cmode run, too. Not sure when I'd be able to, but I'm fancying finally getting a needle (or a rifle because of it's great range. I'd like both at some point)

I just finished my paper. Cross your fingers that the submission site doesn't bitch about it. I might actually have a little time for PSO this weekend...

AGAIN PLEASE!
That one and only time I had gone through c mode with you guys and ended up with my spread needle was soooo worth it! This thing does EVERYTHING! It ups my HP when equipped on Ragol as well as Pioneer 2. Sinow Gold are finally able to be brought down. Instant death hits are nice! Just now, as a level 108/109 I had easily gone through ULTIMATE caves without fear. Mines was definitely tougher at my low level, but the special attack of my s rank needle pulled me through! I can't believe how QUICKLY I brought down Vol Opt!!! (my mag and plenty of scape dolls helped, as well)
I definitely want to get another weapon! Perhaps a mechgun!

Re: Anyone want some S-Rank goodness? ;)
Yesterday I beat C-mode for the first time ever. Started from no rank, way up to the top. All day playing with an expert jp guy at altimira 2nd block. A few dudes joined in for 2 or 3 stages but then they quit. Aprox. 7h30', 0 deaths... white ring as a reward. Not bad for a first time I would say? The guy was really amazing, he knew all maps and played like no1 I ever saw playing PSO, of course that helped a lot, since I didn't have any idea where to go.
I wonder why EU/US people never got that involved in this mode. Lack of tutorials? No interest because it's "harder"? I wonder why? Maybe it was a little of Segas fault for not releasing more hints about this? I ask myself what went wrong?
Man, I got inspired by playing this mode, I guess I found a new addiction?
I blame myself for being a PSO player for too long and ever have neglected this mode.
Next time I want a yellow ring, and then some s-rank weap goodness.

You can still get a Yellow Ring by replaying any stage, and you'll get S-Rank once you improve enough stages to get your total time under 7 hours.
I do have guides and maps on the main site, although I need to update some of them.

Yes I am totally doing this. I never felt so rewarded before for getting a ring as I feel now. The same will apply for s-ranks I believe. I wish when I was a kid and started playing PSO, I had a bba vs the costly dial-up I sometimes had available, and I didn't use too many cheated items.
At least now things are different, for the better enjoyment of the game.

I've been reading your c-mode section, very useful indeed! Keep up improving, it's worth it!ives wrote:I do have guides and maps on the main site, although I need to update some of them.
