Planetweb 2.62 (A long stretch)
Hello,
I signed up to ask a question of AleronIves, but if anyone else could help it would be much appreciated. Long story short, I saw a post where you described having downloaded all XDP and Planetweb versions off a site before the links became dead in 2005 (a long time ago!)
I was wondering if someone could help me find an image of the Planetweb 2.62 browser, or point me in the right direction.
Some background history: I'm actually just trying to find the SegaNet wallpaper found on the disc when you popped it into your PC's CD Drive. So if someone could help with that it would be even cooler. I am feeling a bit nostalgic and wanted to slap that onto my desktop's background. I've not seen it since SegaNet was my ISP, and I was rockin' PSO v2 on 56K. It was a special time of my life, I know you all can relate. Google image searches have turned up nada.

Re: Planetweb 2.62 (A long stretch)
I had a copy of a PlanetWeb Version 2.6(I don't know if it had another number at the end) which had a lot of tiny flash animations within it(they were amazingly fun) along with some videos. What I don't know is if that was a 3rd party version or one of the "official" ones had those too, if you somehow have heard of it or have a copy of this disk, could you share it with me Ives?

Re: Planetweb 2.62 (A long stretch)
PW 2.62 has a lot of "trailers" for various Dreamcast games on it (including PSO), but it's generally not a good idea to use it, because it reportedly can randomly erase your flash memory. PW 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 don't have that problem.
Re: Planetweb 2.62 (A long stretch)
Actually I wouldn't use it to anything other than watch those flash animations, my dreamcast broke a long time ago :/, but since you said it only had some trailers, I assume the version I had(which as I said was 2.6 but I don't remember if it had another number at the end, so it could be a different version) were full of 3rd party content =P
Oh man, I really wanted to find that cd, I had a lot of fun moments watching those videos, this video is one of them: Wasabi Commercial

Re: Planetweb 2.62 (A long stretch)
Your disc was definitely hacked, as the real PW 2.62 didn't have that video on it, unless my memory seriously fails. For the record, Dreamcast videos use MPEG Sofdec, not Flash.
Re: Planetweb 2.62 (A long stretch)
It's ok then, it's sad for me that everything I'll have are my memories D=
Also, I wrote flash animations because I couldn't remember the name "xiao xiao", my bad xD
