Forum Skin
As you can see this skin is not PSO related. This is a skin from the Forummotion skin site, and I modified the banner to my own. If anyone knows how to fix it so that the banner doesn't cover the text, I'd appreciate input. n.n;
I currently have requested Siku to create a PSO-themed skin for the forum, but if anyone else wants to help in some way just post.

Re: Forum Skin
May be because the banner you placed doesn't have the same size as the original themed one?

Re: Forum Skin
It's definitely taller, but I don't have a banner that's as small as the original which is barely more than 50px tall. D:

Can't you just stretch the PSO one?

I'm going to work on it some more today. However, there are quite a few things on this forum skin I didn't realize was even possible to add/edit. Forummotion doesn't give me the option to edit templates unfortunately so what and how I can skin is really limited.
This is what I've come up with thus far, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :

I'm trying to make it look PSO V1/2 UI-ish as possible without using the same images as other PSO forums.
EDIT : Here's a little screen of some of the things guests can't view :
Re: Forum Skin
I think the colour scheme may need changing, the easiest would be to not use the PSO background I suppose. The blue on blue makes it a bit too... blended IMO lol.

If wanted, I can make the PSO background any Color, Dark, Lighter. Or I can even make a gradient similar to the one on this skin. What do you think is personally a good background color? It's going to be a skin for your forum so anything you say goes lol.
It's also not too much trouble to change the colour scheme to better match the current PSO background as well, if that's what you really had in mind instead.

Thanks Treamcaster, I appreciate that. You must be a long time player over at schtserv because I'd like to think I'm not so well known nowadays. Only really known by the long time PSOPC players prior to BB going public. 90% of the schtserv community is now BB players.
Back On-Topic, I didn't get a chance to work on the skin today but I'll spend some more time on it tomorrow. Sorry about it taking so long Ives, I'm drawing blanks for ideas and forummotion's restrictions aren't helping much either lol.
Re: Forum Skin
Ya welcome dude That's right, I am a PSO hardcore fan, been playing since the game was released, played it on the Sega servers...
I really appreciate your work, not only because it's good, but also due to the fact that I would like to get into the "webdesign" someday.. just don't know very well where to start, hehe..

Re: Forum Skin
Well I'm not very good with aesthetics myself. If we keep the tile background then I think the window colours need to be lighter, but if we remove the tile background or change its colour so that it's lighter that would also work and probably be easier and preferable.

Re: Forum Skin
Yeah, Sorry Guys.
The last time I worked on it, I tried to fix a few problems with in the CSS. The main issue I had was the form box in which you use to reply, make topics, etc.... It would type in FFFFFF (White) so you couldn't see what you were typing. No Lie, I spent nearly 3 hours trying to find out why. I edited damn near any part of the CSS that was FFFFFF and still no luck.
So, It was apparent that I would have to scrap the whole skin and start over just because of that. I suppose that was one of the main culprits why I haven't bothered with it for the past week or so.
However, Considering that this skin has a few features I have no idea how to add. I'll probably work off of this one just for the features and hopefully I won't run into another problem.

Sorry to hear that. I hope I'm not making you waste your time, lol. I had hoped this place would take off a bit more.

I actually enjoy doing this sort of thing (minus the CSS headaches lol) so I don't really mind regardless the outcome.
Just give it time, IIRC Schtserv's forum wasn't very lively at first. Things may turn around. I know it's probably already crossed your mind but maybe consider advertising your site or forum more often on the DC/PC boards over at schtserv. Or add a link to your signature, Your signature is waaay smaller than majority of the forum so I don't think it'll be a problem. But, I don't need to tell you that since you are the head moderator. You are also the one to thank for everyone that is playing on PSOPC, not everyone seems to know that.
Where better to talk about PSOPC, than the source.
Re: Forum Skin
The trouble is we've always discouraged people from advertising their sites on the Schtserv forum, so as a moderator I can't really go about advertising mine because "that's different" or something like that. I just try to PM people whom I think would be interested, but it doesn't work that well.

idea
Hold on, hold on... coming up with idea... got a tile here, just slightly altered, but will make cool impact...
SEE? SEE? It's blurry! That means that all the sharper, in-focus stuff will really pop!
*is all giddy*

Re: Forum Skin
Hey Siku, I like your *testing* skin. Since the one we have right now is big s*h*, and that may not be that welcome to a few users that might want to register, we could have yours instead, even if it is temporarily.
Appearence is really important, and we all know that it makes a huge difference.

Re: Forum Skin
I think I might have gotten the skin imported, I notice the quote bubble doesn't seem to work right, it's white instead of black. xD
