My avatar at the Schthack forum always got butchered. I tried uploading it in different ways, different formats, upload it from online and offline, and nothing worked.

Well to make your avatar look better on the Schtserv forum you need to use an image manipulation program like IrfanView to resize it high quality, as the avatar limits on the Schtserv forum are much stricter and they'll resize your avatar if it's too big.

I followed all the size guidelines, and it's still crappy.

I apologize, but I've changed the size restriction on the forum for avatars. The default was 150x200 and that's too big IMO, so I've reduced it to 100x100. As a gesture, I resampled your avatar (as well as Treamcaster's and ducky's) so I hope the quality is OK. ^^;

I have no idea what that is, but you can redo your avatar with whatever fancy settings you iuse if you want.
