Stupid question but i need help...

It has been a LONG time since i have played, the problem is i cant seem to activate the columns on the forest level... is there a reason why? thanks and sorry about the waste of time with this question =\

You have to beat Vol Opt, talk to the Principal, then replay the areas. You can't activate the pillars on your first trip through.

Thanks i was thinking something like that but I couldn't remember.

I think it was on the updated PSO, with Episode II attached, where you could activate the pillars first time round.

I can confirm that. v3...well, not up, because v4 had/has (depending if you play JP official or not) Gov quests to unlock the areas. But yes, in v3, you can press them the first time through.

Having to go through a second time makes more sense story wise, which is probably why Sega did it that way. It's also a much bigger hassle, which is probably why they changed it.

I think it makes way more sense to force you to go through the stages again.

If your on your first ever game on version 3, you might press one, but not realise what you did, then when it comes to the end of the mines you have to go back and press them. But you might not remember the stage you had pressed one in, so you will have to redo it all anyway. Its only on starting a new game (or the next difficulty), when you know you have to press them, that it becomes an advantage.
