might be a stupid queston one way to find out

im waiting on my serial code now and think i read somewhere not to try go online till i get it.
so if i make a guy in offline and level him up before i get the code can i still use him online when i get it

i did, it just means you cant hear lobby music & use guildcards, when i got my serial i went online again, with no problems

ive replaced the .exe but when i pick online it says cant connect to server
