Triad -Maximum Attack-
Defeat all
enemies in
the simulator!
Client: Principal
Quest:
Defeat enemies in
the simulator within
the time limit.
Reward: ??? Meseta

Yep, another batch of quests is here. These are based off of the Maximum Attack 4th Stage quests, but I had to rewrite the scripts to make them work. As such, I made some changes. They have been turned into proper simulator quests, and as such you cannot set Telepipes to return to Pioneer 2. Unlike FAMITSU-MAXIMUM ATTACK- though, you will not fail if you die. Instead, you lose 60 seconds on the timer for every death. The first two quests are available online, while the third has been adapted for offline play. It should hopefully be available from the Offline Quest ship tomorrow. Enjoy.

If there wasn't, I would have said so. I'll warn you though, the rooms with a billion Ob Lilies can get a little slow if they all cast Megid at the same time.

Re: Triad -Maximum Attack-
Well the silly spawns aren't my fault, since I didn't make the maps. You know there are too many Ob Lilies when not one but two Mil Lilies show up even on Ver.2 just during the testing process.

Re: Triad -Maximum Attack-
I decided that the time constraints were still a little too strict, so I raised the amount of time you have in Ultimate. You'll now have 15 minutes more than before if you have 2, 3, or 4 players. I also took the time to upgrade the top prize tier a bit.
Although the extra time doesn't apply to the third one, since it's downloadable and you're always alone, I did upgrade the top prize tier as well as fix a bug that could potentially have caused you to lose two minutes per death instead of one minute during the boss fight. I've already updated the Download Quest ship, so you can get the update for both DC and PC at your convenience. If you're using the Dreamcast version, you can just delete the two old files from your VMU before going online to download the update. If you're on PC, you'll need to delete the old files from the Backup folder manually.

Re: Triad -Maximum Attack-
The extra time only applies to Ultimate mode, since you can easily blast through Very Hard if you level and get the right equipment. Taking out loads of monsters quickly is best achieved by buying a good Charge weapon from the shop with appropriate percentages. Get a Charge Diska or Charge Gungnir (or find a VJAYA in Ultimate), and then obliterate the enemies. Single-target weapons like Mechguns won't be fast enough, as you basically need to kill every wave of enemies in one combo. Of course, having a SPREAD NEEDLE or S-Rank Needle is the best way to do it, or you can also use a Charge Launcher from the shop. Ultimate requires extra time, since none of these options will work there, except for the S-Rank Needle.
As for Serena, a Force can kill pretty fast in Very Hard, but she needs to learn which monsters are weak to which Techniques so she can blast them quickly. If the two of you split up, you can clear the quest even faster.

Re: Triad -Maximum Attack-
Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is I found the bug that was causing one of the prizes to be corrupt and make the legit checker complain. The bad news is that means you have to go through the process of deleting the old files and downloading the third one again if you want the fix for that one.
It's already on the download ship, and of course the first and second are already updated on Altimira. Sowwie.
At least I'm fixing stuff, right?

Re: Triad -Maximum Attack-
I read in a topic about the original BB version that one of the Poison/Ob Lilies in Cave 2 will never drop anything, because it's positioned in an invalid location. I checked and sure enough, the one in the waterfront room closest to the door is actually on top of the water, not on top of the land, so it wouldn't be able to drop anything in both 2 and 3. No, this time it's not my fault, because Sega designed the spawns.
I guess I should fix that, but while I'm at it, I thought I would maybe add a function to let you check your current points without having to beat the quest (as part of what Irene says if you talk to her at the beginning, she would tell you how many points you've gotten so far). Would that be useful, or should I not bother?
