Online Mode - issues creating team.

Hello everyone,

After and ISP error message when I tried to sign on (which was resolved) I am now having issues creating a team. This may be completely obvious but please go easy on me as I have just got this game last night and I'm trying to learn the ways around the slight differences from the PC version to the Xbox version which I have played via Xbox Live for many years prior to the server going offline.

Anyways... when I go to the counter there are no active teams showing up which I can join. So I try to create my own but I am unable to type in a team name. Do I use my keyboard here or my controller/. Is it also possible that my controller is not completely compatible with the game and hence won't allow me to do certain things.

For the record I am using a Microsoft controller from the mid to late 90s so it's probably not the best to be using for this game but as I just started last night I haven't had a chance to run to Wal Mart and grab a more updated controller.

ives uses a dualshock2 (ps2) controller, i personally use a 360 wireless controller it sucks imo but most people also use 360.

Play on the DC/PC Only Ship. You're not likely to find teams anywhere else. The PC version does not have a soft KB like the console versions, because, well... it should be rather obvious.

Thank you both so much for all the tips. I have a question specifically for you hayame...when you say ps2 and 360 do you mean the actual controllers from these consoles or computer controllers which look the same. Sorry for the noob question but I have not touched a console since the original Xbox came out so I really wouldn't know if the ps2 or the xbox 360 controllers would be compatible with a computer or if they have a usb connection.

Also there seems to be some issues surrounding vista and this game. Given that if the ps2 and xbox controllers are able to be used with this game are there any special patches/drivers i would need to download to get this to work with vista?

Again thank you so much. I can't tell you how appreciative I am that someone went through the trouble to get this private server online. I can feel my addiction building again and it's become evident by the sleepless nights and skipped meals...feels like home again! LOL

the actual controllers, ps2 has usb converters and 360 will connect (microsoft, durr) with a wireless connector or a wired 360 controller. IIRC ps3 can be used to connect via blueTOOTH.
