Edit: So i tried running the benchmark, at 1440x900 I get a stable 30fps at the highest settings (or so i think they're at max).

Moar: Did 1920x1080, max settings, 8x aa/16x af about 25fps average. not bad. also, all four cores were at 20% each, so streaming is a possibility with nice quality.

I just tried out the benchmark / character creator (eveb found the english patch). Somehow it crashes at the very beginning saying the program has problems and needs to end... Im using win7 64bit. My MB is crap and I will soon get a new pc (planing components now) but i really wanted to try out the char thing before the official release. Oh and can anyone tell me if and how i could move a character from the editor into the final game? Haerd it should be possible...

Yeah, you can transfer characters from the benchmark tool into the main game. That's what I did with my character.

As for setting the graphics to the lowest quality:

Click the second option from the top on the launcher. It's the one right under the giant button that starts the game up.

This should bring you to the options screen. The first tab at the very top-left should be lit up. This is the tab you need to be in on this menu. You will see a slider from 1 - 5. Set it to one for the lowest graphics.

Click on the third option from the left and you can select your resolution. This one should stick out, as it says 1280*720 in it (the default resolution).

Next, click the fourth option from the left. You will see two bullet-point options. Select the option at the bottom for both settings.

Now, click the button at the very bottom-left corner of the options menu, and it will save your settings.

Click the bottom-right one to exit back to the main launcher screen.

There you go, all your graphics should be set to low.

At the very bottom of that page are directions for messing with the game .ini file. Use this if you want to further adjust the graphics in greater detail.

There are also in-game settings for more adjustments. All of it is mentioned on that page.

Thanks a ton. Now I just have to hope my crappy PC is not as bad as Ives *hides* and lives long enough to play with the generator until my next pc is buildt... (1GB of RAM just died for no reason... DDR2 800mhz suddenly will only run at 667mhz on my crappy MB... PC starts lagging... HDD needs a long time to "wake up" from idle...Time for a nice new one for PSO I suppose) But Ill give my old boy a chance as W7 64bit ran smooth and fast before on him. I sould have the new one ready on release day. Is there an official date?

Edit: worked like a charm... 280 points 15-40fps (score=17fps). It sais poor performance but at least i can have a look. Thanks again )

Sadly there are no statements on releasing PSO2 outside japan, at least i could not find anything.
But... i found some "preparations" of SEGA of america and even SEGA europe (UK).

You all know pso2.jp is the official pso2 website of SEGA japan.
Try out pso2.com, its allready registered by SEGA US and links to sega.com
pso2.co.uk is registered too, but links to a blank white page without content. Well, they are prepared but do not want anyone to know about.

Thing is, I know many major mistakes that are done for PS western release in the past. If they can correct them, then maybe I will be interested.

So far I have only seen two pros, its free to play and the exp. is shared within radius. Then again, SoJ doesn't listen to the western audience.

I knew it.... a week ago pso.com was only registered and forwarded to sega.com, now they unwrapped the secret pso is coming to US and EU.

They cancel out the previous game and hope none would ask "PSO 2" what happen with the first game?
