Do you get a dial tone on your phone line when you pick it up? The browser has an option called "blind dial" that you can enable to force the modem to dial, even if it doesn't think the phone is "ready" to make a call. That might fix the problem.

You do have phone service, right? If your phone line is dead, it won't be very useful. Sad

You need phone service and a dial-up ISP, both of which cost money. The ISP is cheaper, as you can get one for like $3 a month.

There's no such thing as free phone service in the United States. You have to sign up with your local phone utility, such as AT&T.

Recently, I have been getting disconnected from dial up with great regularity.  Is this only a problem with my phone line?  Or can things like people logging in to the server, or making up teams cause you to disconnect, even though you may be in a completely different team?

It's probably a problem with your phone line. Does it have more static than it used to when you pick up the phone?

Maybe so, but I don't think so.  Anyways, if Serena or Pandora suddenly disappear, you at least know why!

Actually, it's not your fault. On that occasion, I FSOD'd because I think I need you to be on P2. I should have messaged you first, so my bad! I'm wondering if my modem on the DC is starting to c rap out. I shall try to see if that is the problem by changing it out with another one. Hopefully I'll see you on again sometime!
