Hi everyone!
I'm new here, and thought this thread was suitable for me to say hi Very Happy
I've been playing PSO on DC since the schthack servers, and now moving on to sylverant.
So far I'm having a blast!!

Just a note for the admins, in the PSO Palace homepage, the forums link is not visible under firefox@ubuntu linux, since I can't scroll the frame to with all the menus on it. I know linux is not a common OS, but if it gets fixed, maybe more users will notice this forum. Very Happy

Keep Dreaming!

What screen resolution are you using? It ought to be visible if you're using 1024x768 or higher, I would think.

Its pretty sad actually... I've spent all this time developing Sylverant, but yet I never have a chance to actually play the game. I'd say that in the past two years, 98% of the time where I'm "playing" PSO has been testing the server's functionality. I guess that's the price I pay for developing the server from scratch, eh?

I don't think I've ever seen you on a "real" character. Razz

I don't really have time to play right now, unfortunately. When I'm not working on projects for my rather hectic semester, I devote my free time to my latest quest, which is finally nearing completion. Cool

If that was directed at me, my DC Characters are for the most part "real" characters. If I'm ever on on DC (or GC really), then its not just a test character.

Also, my "real" characters look pretty much the same as my "test" ones. Yes, all my characters have basically been clones since the last character I used on Sega's server.

New Quest? That sounds pretty sweet. What is it about? *Persters for details.*

And out of curiousity is it possible to make a quest for the spaceship and ruins in offline mode. Like a Downloadable quest or something?

By "ruins" I assume you mean "Palace". It's on my list of things to do to try playing PH as a DLQ to see if it works. If it does, I'm going to design a Spaceship/Palace quest for offline play at some point.

Sorry I get it confused. I don't know why I call it ruins, when I know there is already a ruins. That is awesome. I love the Spaceship and Palace quest you have up now. Very challenging. And a DLC of the Palace/Spaceship would be sweet.

I'll have to do some testing to see what happens if you use those areas offline. It's kind of amazing they work as well as they do online, since those areas weren't meant to be used outside of Battle mode. Since those areas weren't meant to be used offline at all, there could be unforseen problems... Mad

Double post, since edits don't bump. I tried PH as a DLQ, and it seemed to work the same as it does online. I didn't find any problems after doing a full run. I guess that means it's worth designing a Spaceship and Palace quest for offline play in the future. bounce

That is wootness! Looking forward to more new quests. bounce Which means the the stuff for the palace and and spaceship was already on the PSO disk one would assume. Sega didn't unlock the new areas for offline play back in the day or make quests for those areas. Figures >_>.

Still maybe they planned to before the DC died. Who knows now?

The areas aren't complete, which is one reason why they aren't used. You can visit them in free play, but since there are no free play maps, you just appear in the middle of nowhere and can't do anything. Sega used them as a lazy way to give Ver.2 something new while also giving GC something "new" at the same time. u.u At least they work as well as they do, since it's the only way we can ever get enemies of different attributes together.
