Lower Case "Patch" for Weapon Names! 2.1 Released! For Armors

If you're like me, you don't like PSO screaming at you about what weapons you have that are named RED HANDGUN. lol

Anyways, I have made a unitxt edit to where all Weapons have lower case names. I will work on Armors and Shields later on but for right now, enjoy the weapons.

There are a couple of names I complete changed while some I used their v3/v4 names (ex: C-Bringer's Rifle is now Bringer's Rifle.)

If you see any spelling errors, please post in this topic and show me and I can correct it.

EDIT: Just looked at the picture and saw that I spelled Special wrong. xD I'll fix that.

EDIT 2: This patch only works if you set your Language to English. It will not be lower cased in other Languages and I have no plans to work on something like that for only 1 JP player and a couple of BRs no one likes.

Well I released 2.0 which has all the Armors lower cased. (Didn't take that long.)

2.1 released! With Areas being lower cased and changed character description. (If you request these to be changed back, you may ask me and I can work on a replacement, but see no point though.)

PRS is a relatively primitive lossless compression format like zip and gzip, so you first need to decompress the file. After you've done that, you can use a unitxt editor to alter the file, save it, and then recompress it to PRS. Many PSO files are compressed with PRS, but once decompressed, they all require different editors, assuming one exists at all for the file in question. Most notably, the game text, item statistics, player statistics, and online quests are compressed with PRS.

Sega sucks at Engrish, that's why. I corrected multiple typos with the EP for PC (HEAVEN PANISHER, BERLA CANNON, HOLLY RAY, etc.) , but next time around I need to make a more thorough run through Word Select. If you're editing the file with a hex editor, you can't increase the length of an entry without re-aligning the file manually. It probably has a bunch of pointers somewhere that designate where each one begins.

Your change of "Pan Arms's Blade" to "Pan Arm's Blade" is incorrect, as the name of the enemy is "Pan Arms" not "Pan Arm". Depending on whether you allow apostrophes to occur after the letter "s" in words that are not plural but end in "s" anyway, the correct form is either the way Sega did it or "Pan Arms' Blade".

NPC names are stored in the NPC DAT file. The game's text is spread over many different files, depending on the text's purpose. Each quest, for instance, has its own file. Changing the name of a quest in the unitxt alters it in the list at the counter, but it doesn't change the quest's name in the Quest Board.

If you want to alter the quests you've downloaded, you can't. They're encrypted. The only way to alter DLQs is to alter the original quest file and then download the replacement through PSO.
