Actually, you can see that person in the bottom left of the screen... Unless Ren is blue and I'm colorblind.
Ren has the blue outfit on, and you aren't colorblind

Right, I'm psychic (I know who it is, anyway, as if it matters xD).

We have our ducks all in a row.
Getting close...
Purty.
Overkill? Maybe...
This just in: you can get Bringer bugged when you use Techniques, too.
Thankfully, we made it anyway.

Three in a row... I guess nobody else takes screens anymore.
Dragon overkill? Maybe, but that's what he gets for having ten billion HP.
You're not so tough, Belra. I block your pitiful flying arm!
Purty.
Yays.
Finally, I don't die from this anymore.

M&A60 VISE be putting in work (1.5k each hit on falz xD, too bad it's 35% machine and not dark.)
<3 Ludi tiem.
Re: PSO PC/ V1&V2 Screenshot Gallery!
Two things about this picture are so very wrong, lol.
Good grief.
This is a sign that PSO is about to run out of RAM. The next clue is when you crash.
It is fitting that Bana should rejoice with me the first time I survive Falz's swipe.
Pal Fappy? I guess I've seen everything in PSO now.

Re: PSO PC/ V1&V2 Screenshot Gallery!
I force AA and AF on the game. It looks quite a bit better than DC, except for the animation and transparency problems, of course. Textures are a lot crisper, and there's less aliasing.

Re: PSO PC/ V1&V2 Screenshot Gallery!
The driver for my video card lets me have separate settings for every application that I use. I can have it force AA/AF on PSO and turn it off automatically when I'm not playing. You should see if you can do the same thing.

Actually I've been meaning to ask, when you're forcing custom settings on PSO, is it the pso.exe that you target specifically or is it another part of the files? I assume it is the exe, but I was just curious.

Re: PSO PC/ V1&V2 Screenshot Gallery!
The Forceware drivers that I'm using let you select an exe file. When that exe is detected to be running, the settings you selected get automatically applied. When the exe stops running, default settings are restored. ATI Tray Tools are a little less elegant than the nVidia way, because you need to have the program running for the detection to work. The detection can also get stuck as always being on, and your computer can sometimes FSOD when it tries to change the settings. xD

Since Alveron Ives didn't answer your question, you do indeed need to target the pso.exe when forcing custom settings. Or you can just force setting globally across everything, which I'm currently doing. I won't get into a heated debate over Ati/Nvidia drivers etc but from my own experiences I much prefer the ATI side (I've never been a fan of the third party ATI-TrayTools mind). It is just a shame a few small things are missing such as auto loading certain profiles for certain games, though you can setup special settings shortcuts.
For PSO I think that forcing mip-mapping gives the most tangible benefits. Some one really should spend some time making better resolution textures for the game though as there is only so much visual improvements we can make via forcing certain settings onto it.
Ah ok, thanks. As for the last part, the major issue with making the resolution better on the textures is that pso has a tendency to crash if you do. I did port over a BB skin of a fairly hi res forest 2 awhile back, along with the night skin for forest 2 and another one for f1 (I forget exactly, but it is far from stock iirc.)
Given the right tools and if I had the time, I would go back and fix em all, the unfortunate part is that I can't really do as much and I'm not quite the most amazing graphic designer xD
That being said, there have been a few BB skins that have been particularly good that have improved on the looks of certain areas, though you have to be careful with porting some of them to v2.

Re: PSO PC/ V1&V2 Screenshot Gallery!
Two things... one, I did say:aaron_yume wrote:Since Alveron Ives didn't answer your question, you do indeed need to target the pso.exe when forcing custom settings.
What other exe would I be talking about, besides pso.exe? dial.exe?Aleron Ives wrote:The Forceware drivers that I'm using let you select an exe file. When that exe is detected to be running, the settings you selected get automatically applied.
and two, who is Alveron?
Are you sure it's from the resolution, or does it not like the formats you're using? None of the popular PVR editors support all the formats that PSO wants. I think VMT always saves in ARGB565 or something, but only certain textures in PSO use that format. It's possible that it's the format and not the resolution that PSO doesn't like, or it could just be certain textures that need to be more than converted, what with some things on PC being different, like the FOnewearl outfit textures being randomly mirrored for no reason.MuCast wrote:As for the last part, the major issue with making the resolution better on the textures is that pso has a tendency to crash if you do.

Re: PSO PC/ V1&V2 Screenshot Gallery!
Fine, be that way Mr. Yoom.
I should really post a screen shot, but I'm too lazy to convert one right now.

Re: PSO PC/ V1&V2 Screenshot Gallery!
Obviously you meant dial.exe. I mean, c'mon, what other executable actually gets used in PSOPC?Aleron Ives wrote:What other exe would I be talking about, besides pso.exe? dial.exe?Aleron Ives wrote:The Forceware drivers that I'm using let you select an exe file.
