Well i'm having trouble getting online, I have a copied disk of PSO for DC and when i try to get online it ask for a serial number on the game case, but because its a burned disk I dont have one. anyone know a way around that... and Also do i have to have a active phone service. What are the things i'd need to get online if its possible. i would do anything, I used to play the xbox version and i loved battling, and i was look though my brothers DC games and i saw PSO and now i have to get online again. confused

Most CD-R copies come with a shared serial number and access key you can use. For going online, you either need a dial-up ISP or to shell out 100$ for a BBA.

$100?! It's more like... $180-$250 depending on if it's a white or black one...
Does Sylverant assign GuildCard numbers based on the modem's hardware ID + SN/AK (kind of like the BBA thing)? Or is it a different process altogether for modems?

Its not the modem's hardware ID, its the unique ID of the Dreamcast itself (which is stored in the non-writable portion of the Flashrom, I think).
