Yoooooooooo.... what the f***......
So, I switch over to Sylverant, right?
"OOPS LOOKS LIKE YOUR CHARACTER IS MESSED UP. RELOAD BY PRESSING ENTER."
(Not really. But that's what it said in my mind.)
Is this just something I should expect? Cause if it is, I don't care, I needed a different character anyway. (but I lost my Photon Claw.... I really liked that thing. :C )
Already started working on said character. LVL 10 is okay, I guess. For now.

Are you online right now? I suppose I could log on for a bit if you want some help re-leveling.

I can tell you the server should not mess with character data at all. Only way it does anything mucking around with character data is if you use /restore. Did it tell you your data was corrupted when you went to log off, or was it when you were attempting to log on?
I'd really like to know if there is some sort of odd bug that killed your character so it can be fixed if that is the case.

Hmmm...I've had something similar happened to me with my old Hunewearl, when I first logged on from my old saves, however, when I logged back on, everything was fine... Though, Blue is right, I don't see how the server could initially mess up the save...A MYSTERY IS AFOOT! *puffs on pipe* >.>

Re: Yoooooooooo.... what the f***......
That's truly strange. What did you do before this happened? Had you even logged on to the server once, or did it say this before you tried to connect for the first time? If you were online before, what did you do while you were on the server?
The only thing about Sylverant that could corrupt your character (that I know of) was when BlueCrab linked to the SCHTServ shipgate. If you went from SCHTServ to Sylverant or vice versa in the same play session, your character would corrupt because your Guild Card number changed mid-game, and PSO doesn't know how to deal with that. You would get the "Your character data is corrupt, do you want to reset it?" message that you'd have to say "No" to five times, or your character would get reset to level 1. Since there's no way to move between servers anymore though, that shouldn't be possible.
Did you generate a new serial number and access key on the Sylverant registration page and use that in PSO PC? If so, the serials saved in your character data no longer match the serials in the registry, and that's why PSO says your characters are corrupt. You can convert your characters to the new serials with the PSO Serial Changer in the downloads section of my site, but the better solution is to register your SCHTServ serials to Sylverant and continue to use those, assuming you had unique ones on SCHTServ.

I had already logged in to Schtserv once, before Sylverant ever came online. When Sylverant did come online, I just switched over by following directions on another topic.
But this is why I am feeling /very/ retarded right now. I already created a different set of serials on Sylverant, and I hadn't even realized there was a different server up until last week.
How do I register the Schtserv serials to Sylverant though? Assuming I did it correctly, that also means my guild card is different. :\

Click on the link to register a PSO PC key. Your Guild Card number will be different on each server, but your serials will be the same so you can go back and forth as you please with the same characters.

Alright then. One more question- how do I get the screen to pop up again so I can switch the serials out?
I'm guessing I could just set the connection IP back to Schtserv. ...I'll try that.
EDIT: NOPE, DIDN'T WORK. So I'm guessing regedit is the only way now? -_-

If you mean the patch screen for your game so you can switch out the serials on your character, then you can't. When you made your account on Sylverant, did you create new serials to be used with your psopc character? If so then go back to your account. Your characters are tied to both the backup files and the SN/AC so if one or the other isn't present, your characters won't work properly. When you go to the screen to register new psopc serials, you can also input the SN/ACs that were generated on schtserv or other places. What you need to do to get your old character to work is to put the serial number and access code that they were tied to on schtserv to where it allows you to register a previous serial number. After that, I'm pretty sure it will work, I would make sure you have some backups of your schtserv character on hand seeing as you made a new character though.

Re: Yoooooooooo.... what the f***......
You can get the game to let you re-register if you use the registry editor to clear the serial number, access key, and e-mail address fields from the PSOV2 registry entry.
