So I just got PSO PC install and had some fun online and off and Im making my way though the game trying to rush through normal. Instead I get bogged down in the caves for three days.

I died to the stupid worm the first time online with my RL friend (who also plays).

Second Run, due to Windows 7 killing PSO anytime ANYTHING else pops up I get a IM and *Crash* right after I beat the stupid worm. Didn't save so guess what? Yep You got it. I had to do it again.

Third time is a charm right? I have a Level 120ish with me and two others..I have a gun that I have no rights to at my level. Im level 20 myself. Run the caves, kill the worm, thank everyone save my game and quit. And on to the mines right? WRONG!

For some reason I had no mines access. It saved my level but not my cave run. At level freaking 21. So I turn off my virus scanner, IMs anything, and run the caves one more time. And finally, finally I can go on. I hate the caves the most and that little adventure didn't improve my opinion of them. Thought some people might have found some humor in this. And I know the worm's name. He doesn't get the privilege of me using it. Stupid worm. lol

I'm to assume you played online on that third try. You have to beat it offline then talk to the principle to unlock the mines. Also, once you beat the mines you talk to the principle, go to the forest, caves and mines to activate the monoliths. Then you beat the mines (you don't have to beat caves or forest, just get the monoliths) and the ruins will be unlocked. But all must be done offline.

You should always shut off other programs like IM so they don't open windows and crash the game. The point of full screen is to play PSO without interruptions, so... Razz

Also, you could be pr0 and take my strategy. Play online only from level 1 - 120, and then blast through each difficulty setting offline in one sitting for each one. Cool

Yeah I forgot that I needed to be offline to unlock. lol. And honestly one of the reasons I like PSO PC is I can play it offline. I'm away a lot and offline PSO is better than no PSO. That and Blue Burst is just meh. I dunno never liked BB all that much. I guess PSO PC still has that Dreamcast feel to it.

And the worm doesn't get a name. I'm still mad at the HP whore, online or off. >.< I have wounded pride. lol.

That's about all it has going for it >.< Took me close to an hour on offline mode to actually get past the caves, and I can hardly even run through the mines....I need to play more, but I have a time management problem -.-

My dreamcast suffered a horrible accident. I like to call it EXitis...very fatal for beloved eletronics. Besides the Laptop is more portable than my dreamcast was. =P. Im ordering another DC, the games and stuff lived so I can rip the torrent for the DC on PSO palace if I want to. However I am finally starting to get leveled on PC and I don't feel like starting over. AGAIN lol. I dunno PC Version has grown on me. PC controller helps with that. =P

Reminds me on my first adventure with the HP-whore...

At this time i could not play online as my old TV was only PAL 50hz (took some time until i got a new tv which had 60hz mode). Well I rushed ofline through forrest, ended up in caves, hated caves and decided to rush through as best as i can. Then i met the worm. I did my best but his HP was higher as I had pretty low level. I was really "pissed" and made a plan. I got 10 mates, unequipped weapon, piped down to the worm, dropped 2 stacks of 5 in boss fight, died and repeated until i had 50+ mates in the boss area. Then i prepared for battle. I used up allmost every mate in a 3 hour fight. It was 11:30pm when i started and i had some exam next day. After i killed him i was so excited that i was not able to sleep until 3am Razz

Well cleared normal mode last night. Hooray! Vol Opt was a fairly easy fight. Dark Falz...died in 5-10 minintues. It was so...anti climatic. My friend who was with me on the first worm run, saw me down DarK Falz and was like....thats it? I was kinda shocked...Im like yep, apparently so. I remember Dark Falz being harder. That gun Nano gave me online helped A LOT though. But now hard mode.

I'm hoping it's not a Red Handgun, lol. If it is, you shouldn't have needed ten minutes to kill Dark Falz. He should have died in like five combos, haha. If you wanted it to be climatic, you should have beaten him with the weapons you found. Getting strong equipment from high-level players kind of ruins the lower difficulty settings, IMO.

Yes even worse in the enhancement pack because Ultimate is now Ludicrous mode. I haven't tried him on that yet but I know on Ultimate if you don't have some resist/holy's and resist/Dark (I think their called) you're finished once you get to his final form.

It wasn't a red handgun. It was Vastra I think? The yellow pistol? I have a Red Handgun but I can't use it. I'm just wanting to get to V-hard where I left years ago ASAP. lol.

A varista I believe. Ok well that isn't quite so bad, still pretty damaging in normal but not as bad as a rhg.

If you can survive Grants from Gran Sorcerer, you can easily survive Grants on Dark Falz. Megid just has to be dodged. There really isn't a convenient way to get enough EDK to ever be safe just standing around when something uses it on you. Razz
