Bro: hey whatup brosef, wanna play some PSO on my new DC, that's right I got a mother fugging DC! its got 128bit graphics, maybe even more!
Me: PSO? Isn't that the sequel to PS4 cause that game was hella tight.
Bro: No, It's a new series. My uncle, who works for Sega he says if you beat the game in less than 5 minutes, YOU GET TO SEE RICO'S TITS!
Me: I'D KILL TO SEE THAT BITCH'S TITS!
*Fires up DC quick*
And that's how it allllllllll started!

Re: How it all started with me in PSO
I was in the military at the time and the DC hasn't been out that long. So I went to my base BX (Base Exchange) and they had the DC there. Now I had just got back from overseas and had a shitload of cash to burn. So I went and got the DC along with 2 games that would take over my life Marvel vs Capcom 2 and PSO V2. I went home and played the hell out of MVC2 unlocking every character and costume. Now I finally decided to play PSO and loved it but couldn't get online because I didn't have internet. I called the provider that day and had the come in 2 days later to install my internet. I also found out that it was broadband that was set up and the system came with a 56k adapter. Off I went to the stores to find a broadband adapter and I finally found on used at EB Games. After setting up my online account, I finally got on and the rest is history.

Re: How it all started with me in PSO
Wow, so you got a bba for less than $100? Amazing!
For me, it started because I learned about the DC BBA. From there, I decided I wanted to get all the games that still work with it (after getting it, of course)-- Quake 3 & Planetweb 3. I played Quake for about 5 minutes offline and thought it was boring, and no one was ever online. Planetweb 3 is great, though it has the compatibility of IE 3... Enter PSO.
I stumbled upon SCHTserv through Dreamcast@Onlinconsoles, believe it or not. They have really tight requirements to access their servers, so I just said "Screw this" and looked for other options. I found Schtserv, the #1 PSO server.
What else can I say other than I registered here first to avoid the of the main forum (you can see by my post count), and the rest is not nearly as tangled and vague as v2's storyline.

Re: How it all started with me in PSO
I remember that it was about 6 or so years ago and I had convinced my parents to let me sign up for some EarthLink dial-up package through PlanetWeb 3.0. So, I figured I'd set up my Dreamcast and finally download Chao Editor that I had been wanting to put on my VMU for ages to make some badass chao on Sonic Adventure 2. I don't know how, but I stumbled across the SCHTSERV website and after reading about the game, promptly purchased a new copy of US v2 on eBay (Much, much later, I eventually caved and got a BBA ). I don't know how I, being a huge Dreamcast fan, had never gotten around to playing PSO before then...
The rest, as they say, is history.
