The truth about Ultimate mode...

Can anyone verify this?

well lets verify the things we know, yes ult was released in v2, yes visual changes were also made.

and i can't really tell if thats the truth, and what do they mean by areas?

No, I was always told that Ultimate takes place after the events of Ver.1, i.e. Pioneer 2 is in a lower orbit or even landed on Ragol (hence seeing sky rather than space), and Ultimate is taking place near sundown, which is when "the worst monsters come out, bwahaha" etc. I don't think there is an official reason for the changes story-wise, though. Saying that it takes place earlier is clearly wrong though, because Ragol didn't even have monsters until Dark Falz woke up and the retards on Pioneer 1 started experimenting on the wildlife.

I'm gonna try and fix that then , can I use some of that post if I figure out how to edit wikipedia articles?

I actually prefer ultimate pioneer 2 to n/h/vh--it's a lot brighter and nicer. the ice dragon vs the fire dragon is weird though... o_o

As far as I've seen, Ultimate is a nice break from normal/hard/very hard (I think I'll stick to very hard ruins for the last 7 levels though... the srank doesn't do nearly enough damage for me to feel confident enough to get past forest 2...
