Super Ruins?!?!

Ives, did either your offline map pack or enhancement pack turn up the difficulty of the Ruins like, a LOT? Here i thought i was all hot stuff, blastin my way through the mines, stompin bosses left and right, and suddenly i go from 1 to 2 hit kills in the mines to 6 hit kills in the Ruins. I burn through 500+ tp just trying to clear 1 room

The only thing is offline map pack did was adjust the spawn rating for the beasties. Aside from that, i doesn't alter stats. As far as the enhancement pack goes...beats me.

Yeah they only adjust the spawn ratings offline (know, moar for exp ), and the enhancement pack only change the difficulty of ult to ludicrous mode (monsters have more dfp bla bla etc.) but other then that it also changes the droprates a lot better than sega's rates and changes some item stats to be more useful.


oh and to be more logic about your "super ruins", you're advancing levels no? wouldn't that also increase difficulty?

Well, i haven't really leveled up since arriving in the Ruins, thats why i was curious. I tore the Mines up (twice in a row actually, once to get to the Ruins and once to turn on the monolith to get into the ruins) piece of cake like. The gilchicks or whatever they are called took all of two shots of zonde, even the sinows only took three shots of Foie... then im like w00t, im in the ruins... and well, that's really not goin so well. In fact, i think Online Hard Mode forest might be easier than my current offline Ruins. Guess its just tougher than i remembered it being (then again, the last time i played was GC, wich was probably simplified a little anyways)

Techniques are much more powerful on GC. I made no changes to the enemies in Normal - Very Hard mode; Ver.2 is just more difficult. Clearing offline Ruins will be easier when you have higher level Techniques.

yeah, thats what i was affraid of... oh well, hopefully ill eventually find decent techniques, or ill just play BB untill i feel like running through the mines 50 more times

Maybe you should play online and get some help. I never play offline until I reach level 120 or so, then I just blow everything up and clear each setting in one sitting.
