Re: o hai ther
If it is original EU, you don't really need Ives's version.
Unless you want the Ult resist mod, and higher quality sound, among some other tweaks.
But, that's just my opinion, I prefer originals (in almost every case for everything ).
It's totally up to you, though.

Re: o hai ther
So EUv2 with dialup then...
Can you go to WEBSITE and configure network settings?
I'm sorry, I'm not sure what to do in that situation.

too lazy to set up , ill prolly save up for a BB adapter, and grind on mah own for now
Re: o hai ther
The EP disc is hosted on DC ISO Zone, so you shouldn't have any problem getting that one. As for getting online, good luck getting enough cash to buy a BBA.
Re: o hai ther
I have to disagree with that. I saw 3 in subsequent weeks that were $60-80... It also happened to be around the same time they had a black one for $250... You just have to look every week (lol I was obsessed ) and maybe you'll luck outAleron Ives wrote:That's the usual price. You won't find one for less than that.

Re: o hai ther
We're talking about BBAs, not Dreamcasts. >_> There's no such thing as a black BBA AFAIK. They are all white.

i told you earlier moop, just get a black modem and switch the insides, make some changes. lol
Re: o hai ther
hmmm... explain: I got it sealed in bag import from Japan. It was black. the box has the black color code dot on it. It says LAN on the back in black on the black casing. If it were modem switched it would say LINE on the back.
(sorry I just sometimes get really defensive)
I really did see some BBAs for crazy low $$$. no kidding. My dad saw it too, but probably didn\'t care because they did not match my dreamcast. probably just some clueless people. that were snapped up really fast though...

Re: o hai ther
I can never remember which is which, but I hope it's a BBA and not the LAN adapter, lulz.
Re: o hai ther
BBA is model HIT-400 (they say it is HIT-401 if it is from japan, but its not. They are all hit-400, i checked mine)
LAN adapter is HIT-300 (avoid those, unless you want them for collection purposes)
If you see a listing that says HIT-401, it's someone who thinks there is a difference between Japanese and American mdoels.
for bba hunters, hit-401 and hit-400 are the same. grab it as fast as you can (they aren't region coded anyway)

Oh, and hayame, I found this in the Aleron Ives EUv2 readme:
Q8) How can I connect online?
A8) That depends on if you are using dial-up or a Dreamcast broadband adapter (BBA).
Dial-up users will probably need to use a Codebreaker code to alter the connection address to Schthack's server. You will need to use either a Codebreaker loader for CD-R games or a Codebreaker that has been modified to load CD-R games, as a normal Codebreaker will say that CD-R games are invalid and it will refuse to load them.
You need both the main enable code as well as the online connection code:
PSO Ver.2 PAL-E Enable Code:
1B7AAF61
8C5FF000
116F90D5
C0705040
1A87D212
40707044

2012D102
1E04D0FE
0009000B
1E14D0FE
AC937F78
1E24D0FE
0B50C4F3
PSO Ver.2 PAL-E SCHTServ Connection Code:
0E0A0848
0001002C
002E301B
00000070
022E301C
642D6F73
022E3020
74612E63
022E3024
78632E68
022E3028

BBA users do not have to use the Codebreaker; they can connect to the server by specifying a DNS server to redirect them to SCHTServ when they go online. Since the IP addresses of valid DNS servers change, you should visit the SCHTServ forum to find a valid DNS server to use.
Note that certain dial-up ISPs allow you to specify a DNS server of your own choosing as well, which can save you the trouble of using the Codebreaker to connect when using dial-up.
HERE:
This is a DC VMU save file that contains the needed codes to connect to our server with the Codebreaker cheat disc.
http://www.schtserv.com/vmu/schthack.vmi
http://www.schtserv.com/vmu/schthack.VMS
(you need to have BOTH, the dreamcast uses a vmi+vms couple as it's filesystem, so whenever you download dreamcast file that ends in .vmi, after downloading th vmi, you need to copy the link address and change the extension into .VMS and download that (in caps, or it won't work--see above). You need to put both on the vmu, even though only the vmi will show up. this is because the vmi is the information about the file, and the vms is file itself.)
UNLESS-- you go to planetweb browser or dreamkey or whatever (not sure about XDP), go to http://schtserv.com/download.php , and download it directly to your Dreamcast VMU. It takes care of the vmi+vms thing for you.
If you got that, I'm sorry about the length, you'll be able to hopefully go online, and also be able get any file for your dreamcast.
