I agree option 2 is your best option, its worth a shot to ask, I was lucky enough to upgrade due to my family having laptops and with a wireless router and with it we would be able to move about the house. Best of luck though! Very Happy

...How does the rest of your family get Internet access? DSL? Cable? Satellite?

You could try saving up your money from allowance if you're one of the lucky ones who actually get allowance or doing household chores (even if they aren't from your house) for money to speed up the process. Baby sitting or lawn mowing can bring in the cash fast. If your dad still doesn't want you to purchase the router with money you've earned yourself, then as long as he's paying for the internet, the roof you live under, and the food you eat, I think that it's fair that he gets his way, even if his way isn't necessarily justified.

I know living with a stubborn father can be tough from personal experience though. Good luck with whichever option you decide to pursue, and remember, if you get angry/frustrated with your father, shouting at him will only make the situation much, much worse (I'm sure you knew that though).

Oh, and one final note. Just so you're aware, PSZ is much like PSO version 1 with lesser graphics. It's more meant to be a miniature, portable version of PSO than it is a new one.

If by pwn, you mean are ridiculously broken...well, you do, so yes.

I didn't really mind the walking style. If I recall, I thought it was funny that they like straddled with every step, but it's been a couple weeks since I last booted up.

Oh, and I got PSOPC installed. Rather than start with a HUnewearl, I'm going with FOmarl. I'm going to raise my HUnewearl on DC v1, and see if it might be possible (it turns out we actually DID have dial-up access all along Evil or Very Mad ) to transfer her over to PC when I'm ready, which will probably be a little bit after I beat Falz on VH.

Anyways, SLOWmarl's name is Lady Serena. Once I get my serials, I'll be sure to hop on for a game now and then. Normally I prefer playing through all of the game first, but this will be an exception, as first time Forces are kinda tough to raise.

@ Aleron
The computer I'm using right now is a DSL, and the laptop is a verizon air-card.

@ MuCast
XD I've tried before, they said no! And even with my own money, they wouldn't let me. So unless someone gets one for me and I set it up in secret, I won't be able to connect.

@ Anyone who cares
I MOST LIKELY won't be able to connect untill I hit college and have my own Laptop and everything. -_- Sucks, I know.

I don't think so. Where's the link?

To be honest, I'm a little hesitant. That fact that you're a Sonic fan and it's Deviantart...meh, who cares. I'll take a gander.

I've been noticed! affraid

Wait, who were you? In the like two and a half hours my game was open, there were like twenty different characters that joined and left, a surprising majority of them being Brazillian.

I'll be busy these next couple of days due to some family friends being over and participating in a GCN event, but I'll see how often I can get on. It was awesome hanging out on the PC side of things, and thanks to everyone for dealing with my noob-ness. ^_^

Usually I put my anime art on there anyway, and I was thinking of doing a PSO PC promotional poster if someone cared here. XD I was also thinking of doing a manga/comic featuring Aleron, Stasher, another person, and I (and I get the role as the new hunter) based off events in Episode 1.
So... my huge dilema of PSO... being online. Either I sneak on this computer (and risk life in hell) or I don't play it untill college. Which should I choose? (And yes, I've asked my parents to get me a Wireless Router, but they said NO.)

unless you guys all use the same comp as like a family terminal there is no point not to get a router but I suppose what your parents say goes, lol you could go to a coffee shop or wifi spot though if you wanted to play for a few, just a few thoughts...

Yes. Good boy.

@ Wing

You haven't learned a thing, have you? I don't HAVE many friends, so either A. They live far away, or B. they have the crappiest computers that can't run PSO on it. (Trust me, I tried)

Most people don't have many friends. In your life, you'll find only a 1 or a few people that you can truly call friends. That's normal. You're telling me not one of them can run PSO? wow. lol This games requirements are not that high. What the hell are they using?

Also. I'm getting a dog and naming him MuCast.

"Good boy."

XD Wow. You may be the first to name a dog after a username. XD
Well, they can run PSO, but the comps are so slow it'd be super laggy or not connect.

@ both
um...thanks?

@ both
wtf?

Anyway one option if you really wanted to be sneaky is to use a Flash drive with a few gigs or more of space and get a program called MojoPac. Its a free program that I have on my 4 gig drive that basically is a windows envrionment you can take on the go. For example, I keep my computer programs to the bare minimum to maximize speed on my computers so I have all of my programs, (including a separate install of PSO) on that flash drive. Its nice if you have a decently fast computer (though I havent run pso on it yet) but you can plug it in anywhere and as long as you have administrator rights on the comp you can run it and it leaves no trace Very Happy

I've got a 2 gig, but it's cluttered with crap. XD Mainly PSO packages and other crap like the stuff I put on deviantart. And music. And movies. Etc.

Pretty much, you just install and then click an icon and it starts it up. Its nice because you can switch between the host comp and jump drive environment just by clicking a button. Ive used it a few times and it works pretty well though it can run slow on computers that arent as up to date but it works nonetheless.

It looks kind of like it just copies the Documents and Settings data from your PC and then leeches the Windows directory from the PC you're running it on, which is why it only works on XP machines since they're too lazy to make it work with any version.

Err, not that. More of this. x.x

I've been frightened to visit DeviantArt ever since. XD

Also, 4 GB Flashdrives are like $20-30 from what I recall. In fact, I think I even got my 8GB for that on sale. Keep your eyes open and you never know what you'll find.
