In Game Chat Problem. Please Help!

I am having a problem accessing Chat in PSO for PC.

I'm able to chat when I'm in the lobby (Go to create a team, then go to password, press esc, then it's enabled), but once I start a game, I'm unable to chat.

I have tried changing my keyboard settings from English to Japanese already. I've done all of the input steps. I've also tried doing the ctrl,shift and 0. (In Advanced Keyboard settings) (I've also pressed space bar.) I've gotten it once, but when I go to run the program again, it doesn't work.

I'm currently running Windows Vista Ultimate. I really need and want to know how I'm able to enable chat in game play itself. It would help a hell of a lot if I could know.

If anyone knows what I have to do or what I have to change/download, please let me know. I would like to be able to chat anytime I wish and be able to use my Xbox 360 wired Controller. It would be a real big help! Thanks.

Try changing your font setting. I did that and it enabled me to chat again. But my problem stemmed after installing a new video card- without the newest drivers yet- and direct x ten. (I do not have Vista)
