PC vs BB

hello everyone, I started this topic to address the differences between PSO PC and Blue Burst. I know a few differences such as

BB
easier rares to find (apparently)
more people
new levels

but I'm preferable to Pso PC and was kinda curious about what made one better than the other. Feel free to express whether or not you favor one game over the other and why you like it more

-less weps and stuff
-hardcore veterans
-noobs who don't know how to connect with BB

DC:
-the best for retro memories

I love PSO PC I just wish there were more players...

so I was on skyline block 1 and I asked anyone if they wanted to play and they simutaneously said, WE ALL PLAY BB!

I was the only player on PC on the ship

They mostly freak out when they see DREAMCAST players. The normally say "that's old" or "you should play pso bb" or even "you feckin retard". The last one was a joke, at least it didn't happen still with me

I had someone pestering me over and over again to play BB and also had me list off all the reasons why I still played PC, he was like, "everything is easier on BB"

The new content and ideas are nice, but the mechanics and populace of bb is so blasted broken, that I can't handle BB for more than a few minutes.

I haven't touched it in months. I only played when one of my friends did, now we don't anymore, so I don't bother.

I get bored as hell playing it anyways..

it sucks that people are going to BB when what seems like a much better game is the original

It's kind of abusive the way BB players treat PC and DCv1 and v2 players.

It sucks.

Problem about BB: It's more complicated. There is hot keys, but the game is harder to control.

ok? It's actually easier for me. That's another reason I don't like it.

The hotkeys are supposed to make it easier...

That way, you don't have to scroll through the quick menu. This makes being a force a hell of a lot easier, which in some ways, I find cheap.

Also another reason I really don't like bb, the material plan. And limits of it. You can't make a char the way you want to, and forces are usually forces on there. On v2, you can do practically anything you want with any character.

I find that more enjoyable, despite bb having more content, the new content isn't high on.. "quality".

Yup. Episode II and IV give you more stuff to kill, but Episode II is made up mostly of 1 hit KO faggotry and enemies that have insane ATP so if you don't fight long range you get raped, and Episode IV is just massive amounts of reskinned Episode I monsters. The "new" content is overall terrible and mostly rehash, and the mechanics make the game not that enjoyable to play. I'd rather play four areas repeatedly that are fun than eight areas that are frustrating.

Yeah, I would have to agree with that, I've played through PSO countless times and its never really gotten old, especially with the new ability for me to play online! (lol) plus the PC and DC players seem much nicer than those of BB, Seems like some kind of rivalry or something

And that is because, we don't care about shiny rarz, or getting stupid items, or quest spamming to level fast.

We care about having fun and a good time. So the community matters. That's why we're like that.

Some say we're a bit more tightwadic (a word? lol) because we're vets and don't like the new guys.

Well, that is because the new guys is the mentality of bb, they want stuff.

Lots of people who get pso, aren't aware of bb, they get this because they hear their pc can play PSO online.

Most have already been spoiled with new rpgs, and aren't really fond of rusty stuff.

But when you play a game of a series, usually the original peaks your interest doesn't it? Because it started it all and was something new, more ideas, the developers hadn't run out of any yet lol.

Most people who play pso today, have never played the original v1 and v2 first. And that is why they're like that.

Unfortunately the new generation of PSO players have an entirely different mentality that is not really compatible with the mentality of the people who started with the original game.
