Help installing

Post  The Roxster on Fri Jun 19, 2009 4:12 pm

Hey.

erm...I'm a newbie to the forum (but not to PSO) and I did read the README and downloaded the right torrent and everything but apparently the file I have is corrupted..

I burned each ISO to a cd and when I run the installshield thing, everything goes fine until this error message pops up: Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used.

Then when I try to ignore it: Internal Error 2350. And then since it will not finish installing: Error: -1603 Fatal Error during Installation.

I'm running this on XP btw. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong, so hopefully one of you guys can help. :/

Do you still have the original zip file in your BitTorrent client? If so, tell it to perform a forced re-check of the file and see if it tries to redownload any pieces. If not, then your archive is sound, and it seems like your CDs are the problem. Try using different media or a virtual drive.

Well, no unfortunately. I deleted it and I'm downloading it again. What's interesting is when I tried to unzip the file using WinRAR, it said that the PSO ISO part 1 zip was corrupted. But I was able to unzip it just fine with the WIz thing. >_> I'll try using a virtual drive next. Thanks!
