Anyone want some S-Rank goodness? ;)

Post  Aleron Ives on Tue Mar 25, 2008 2:21 am

My RAcast still needs C7-9, how about other people? Is anyone itching to form some Challenge teams?

If you're new to Challenge mode you can read my guides/FAQ/etc on the main site. Wink

Ah, I really should start back into this. Only completed C-Mode with my main EU server character.

Mmmm Cmode.

BTW, how many people here can play Challenge on PSO PC? The cross platform bug in Stage 9 isn't fixed... so that makes it a bit of a problem to do the stages cross platform. Mad

I've never played a challenge mode before and would love it if someone guided me through when I finally get logged on. I love you

Hmm well if you read the Challenge mode section of my site you can learn all the basics beforehand. Cool We might actually be getting enough people to form a team now... Very Happy

Oh, this is too funny! Now I GOT to try this just to see it! Laughing

Q:I've heard people talk about graves, what are they and how do I see them?
A: When someone dies without a Scape Doll and causes a team to fail a stage, a grave marks the spot where they fell. The grave contains their name, the name of the team where they died, the enemy that killed them, the number of times they've failed the stage, and the final words the person said before they died. Mostly, graves are just kind of fun, especially the quotes you find on them. However they can serve one useful purpose, graves sometimes drop items. When you come across a grave you will sometimes find multiple Mates or Fluids on the ground next to it. Getting items is not guaranteed, but it does sometimes happen. Each character can have only one grave, if you fail a new stage your old grave is deleted from the last stage you failed and a new one appears in the most recent place you died.

I wanna challenge so badly

Post  stasher on Fri Apr 18, 2008 1:30 pm

I read through the whole challenge section. Then last night I dreamed I was running around Forest 2 with some other hunters. I didn't dream that my game character was running around in the game, I dreamed that I was really running around in Forest 2! I told the guy/leader that "I may be a hunter, but I'll take the role of a force 'cause I don't quite know how to play the whole map/puzzle stuff yet." I asked him to tell me what to do.

Hmm... Well if we get you, me, and Amon, then we just need 1 more for a full team. Surprised

I just got my fiance all set up with the game. Now, if I can just convince him to play challenge with us. If not, I think I can get my boss, or another manager I work with, turned on to this game.

Does it really take about 7 hours to complete?! Also, when we play challenge, you'll have to tell us what to do or where to go 'cause you have the experience and know the maps better. Maybe set up your buttons to have preset instructions so you don't have to take time to type it out during game play.

Don't attempt to play Cmode if you're new to the game. You need to be very good with your weapons and familiar with the enemies to succeed in Cmode. If you're getting people started on the game, they should probably at least reach Vhard mode before trying Challenge, unless they want to be frustrated.

7 hours is the maximum time you can take to get S-Rank (6'59"00). A decent time is in the 5 hour range. A TA time is under 4 hours, give or take.

Sweet, I'll pass the word along. Even with the three of us so far, is it possible to just practice cmode? Are you guys up for that at least?

I suppose, though I don't need practice. Wink I made a big breakthrough on my project today so I'm a step closer to finishing. Now the question is whether it will behave for the rest of testing or if more problems are going to pop up. Razz
